Desarrollo Turístico de Mocito Isla, Carapeguá, con enfoque en gestión comunitaria

Nowadays, the rural areas are inter-related with the modern tourism, this is, the agricultural activities are complementing with the recreational tourism, gastronomic services and accommodation, therefore, considering the progressive development, this project is presented: “Touristic development of Mocito Isla, Carapegua, with a community management focus”. The project merges two modalities of Nature Tourism, Eco-tourism and Community Tourism in just one sustainable touristic plan that builds the bases with the axes of environmental, socio-cultural and economic. The study area is “Mocito Isla” (46 has), part of the Parque Nacional Lago Ypoa, located in Caacupumi, District of Carapegua, Paraguari. Inorder to achieve the goals of the project, environmental education has to be the strategic tool to strengthen the relation between the natural heritage and the visitor, among the most punctual actions is specially mentioned the creation of touristic circuits, the design of a guided interpretative trail and the installation of a Interpretation Center called “Ypoa Roga”, is important to mention that the infrastructure is inclusive, promoting the universality of tourism. The local community is an important part of the project, giving them the opportunity to generate their own incomes and enhancing the value of their traditional crafts like the “poyvi”.
