Abstract

This article presents a project of artisanal production of toys and gifts, which reflects on the importance of modifying consumption habits and strengthening cultural identity as a development strategy. This project also contributes to understand crafts as a symbolic expression of a society, raising innovations in
product design and in production processes, based on comprehensive concepts of sustainable development.

Author Biography

Lucas Fernández, Sr., Universidad Columbia del Paraguay

Estudiante de la carrera de diseño gráfico en la Universidad Columbia del Paraguay. Profesor superior de lenguaje musical. Diplomado en museología. Diseñador gráfico en empresa de marketing Ideas Publicitarias.
Desde 2017 desarrolla en compañía de otros artesanos la empresa Urucu Artesanía, de producción y promoción cultural y artesanal.
