Abstract

"La Ruta del Barro" a pioneering experience exemplifies sustainable tourism with the entrepreneurship from local communities who live in rural towns with immense traditional knowledge, with natural resources to offer to value and homemade dishes which are positive factors to attract visitants to live the experience in Paraguay. Technical assessmente and interinstitutional alliances to achieve the goals that benefit to all the involved parts in this type of local entrepreneurship, above all to dynamize the local economies, add value to the National Cultural Heritage and give an unforgettable experience to people coming from outside their communities.

Author Biography

Celeste Escobar, Universidad Columbia del Paraguay

Teacher at the Columbia University of Paraguay since 2013 in the Tourism and Hospitality
Career. As a ‘Kambuchi Apo’ entrepreneur, she has designed proposals with a focus on
sustainability, fair trade, cultural tourism, education and heritage to create
alternatives for creative dynamization and economic empowerment for communities
with Traditional Knowledge in Paraguay.
